This is a real adventure through rivers, creeks, Maya cities, and impressive stelae … all of it surrounded by one of the most beautiful tropical jungles in the world.

Eyes wide open looking for crocodiles and turtles basking in the sun on an old log, the boat ride on the river awakens your true adventurous spirit. A diversity of aquatic birds patiently waiting to catch a passing fish, indigenous communities lost on the river´s banks, children waving at the tourists, fishermen along the way… this and much more in three days of adventure in this world of green mystery!

You will visit: Sayaxche, Ceibal National Park, Aguateca Archaeological site, Dos Pilas Archaeological site

* Route: a mixture of driving in a 4x4 vehicle at the beginning, boat trip, horseback riding and walking

* Travelers requirements: good physical condition,

people used to walking about 3 hours in hot and humid jungle.
* Trail condition: inclined terrain, with a little up and down.
* Daily walking distance: 1 day: 10 km (6 miles), 2 day: 24 km (15 miles) on horseback, 3 day: 6 km (3.75 miles)
